WW: Beach Grass after Snow Storm

Beach Grass Macro Photo

"Winter lingered so long in the lap of Spring that it occasioned a great deal of talk."
- Bill Nye

Now that the vernal equinox is only a couple weeks away, I'd be chill if yesterday's snow storm was the last opportunity to take literally cool macro photos of nature until Christmas.

  2. The beach grass is so neat. We don't get that on the left coast.

  3. No telling. When I drove my car in the icy cold weather, today, I had to put my top back up after the last time I drove.

  5. Even the most exquisite cold gets old. I'm guessing those stalks would love to be greening again too.

  11. Beach grass and snow...now that's something I haven't seen yet. We got a light dusting of snow on Monday, and that was it. Spring-like temperatures are expected to arrive this weekend and will be with us most of next week, which I'm very much looking forward to. I can't for warmer weather to linger with us longer, though. Happy WW!!

  15. Although I live on an island, I rarely venture out in the cold weather if I can help it. This shot really let me see the wintertime beauty of the beach - and from the warmth of my own living room too! Thanks for sharing!

Makeup Giveaway: All Natural Mineral Cosmetics by Madison Street Beauty

EDIT: Giveaway is officially closed. Congratulations to Rita Szlovencsák for submitting the randomly chosen 57th entry. Perhaps it's the hot weather and the drought in Delaware, but I have been daydreaming about being a mermaid. That's why I gleamed to discover the Etsy Blog's Mermaid Makeup Tutorial when looking through the list of articles where my new giveaway sponsor's products have shimmered. Madison Street Beauty has dozens of magnificent eye shadow colors that could enhance the sexy siren in any creature. One lucky winner will even get to choose five full size eye shadows, as well as a foundation, a setting powder and a blush or bronzer sample for free. Amethyst, an opaque vegan eyeshadow of medium purple, would be my first pick, fins down. Look at those sparkles! If choosing only five colors is too difficult, why not try some natural samples first? The owners, Bridget and Rhys, are currently celebrating their one year Etsyversary and offering an astonish...

Handmade Giveaway: Scarf from Elizabeth Koh

EDIT: Giveaway is officially over. Congratulations to Susana Silva for submitting the randomly-chosen 392nd entry. Normal people go to the beach in the summer, but I prefer autumn when it's more peaceful. The weather may be chilly, but that's why scarves come in handy! Not to mention that they're also a fun fashion accessory. One winner will get to choose any scarf under $40 from Elizabeth Koh to heat up an outfit. Elizabeth Koh is not one person, but two - both Janelle and Megan's middle names are Elizabeth, and Koh means island in Thailand, where they handcraft all their cotton and silk scarves. Every collection is named after a beach or island in Thailand and feature a range of weights for wearing in several seasons. Elizabeth Koh is committed to improving the communities where their products are made, so 10% of proceeds are donated to SOS Children's Villages in Thailand. Not only will you help feed others by buying a scarf this holiday season, you'll al...
