Manicure Monday: Easter Bunny Nail Art by Jamberry Nails

Easter Bunny Nail Art Accent

The weather was wonderful this weekend! My mom and I savored the sunny Saturday together by cycling through the Cape Henlopen State Park, then exploring the Lewes Tulip Festival. (Yes, you will be seeing flower photos from me for many Wordless Wednesdays to come.)

After splitting a sub from Touch of Italy at an outdoor table, we went back to her house to apply her very first set of Jamberry nail wraps. She picked Peek-A-Boo Bunny during my first party. And since she's such a sharing soul, she gave me an adorable rabbit nail wrap to use as an accent for my Carmen Ombre manicure. I am so hippity hoppity happy with my Easter nail art!

This marks my fourth jamicure, and although I wouldn't call myself an expert yet, they look better each time. I've also discovered a way to cut down trimming time for those ladies like me whose nail shapes don't match the rounded wraps. Hop to today's guest post on Katie Crafts for my Jamberry tips. Thanks to Momma for patiently helping me take pictures! Neither one of us has paid for manicures at a salon, but I look forward to making jamicures a regular mother-daughter activity.

Mothers Day Manicure Gift IdeaWe both have several nail tools already, or I'd be buying her one of the three Mother's Day gift sets that Jamberry just released. Each set includes 3 complementing nail wraps ($45 value), application kit with 2 alcohol wipes, nail scissors, nail clippers, buffer block, 2 orange sticks, rubber cuticle pusher and nail file ($12.50 value) AND bag of Sweet's Famous Salt Water Taffy from one of the oldest family-owned and operated candy factories in the U.S. for only $50. If you'd like to take advantage of the sweet deal for your mother, please find and select "Aquariann" in the list of names under party at checkout to help me reach my hostess goal before I close it on Easter.

Want to be a guest blogger for my Manicure Monday when I don't have new nails of my own to show off? Please contact me using the form on my contact page if you're interested in a free feature.

Makeup Giveaway: All Natural Mineral Cosmetics by Madison Street Beauty

EDIT: Giveaway is officially closed. Congratulations to Rita Szlovencsák for submitting the randomly chosen 57th entry. Perhaps it's the hot weather and the drought in Delaware, but I have been daydreaming about being a mermaid. That's why I gleamed to discover the Etsy Blog's Mermaid Makeup Tutorial when looking through the list of articles where my new giveaway sponsor's products have shimmered. Madison Street Beauty has dozens of magnificent eye shadow colors that could enhance the sexy siren in any creature. One lucky winner will even get to choose five full size eye shadows, as well as a foundation, a setting powder and a blush or bronzer sample for free. Amethyst, an opaque vegan eyeshadow of medium purple, would be my first pick, fins down. Look at those sparkles! If choosing only five colors is too difficult, why not try some natural samples first? The owners, Bridget and Rhys, are currently celebrating their one year Etsyversary and offering an astonish...

Handmade Giveaway: Scarf from Elizabeth Koh

EDIT: Giveaway is officially over. Congratulations to Susana Silva for submitting the randomly-chosen 392nd entry. Normal people go to the beach in the summer, but I prefer autumn when it's more peaceful. The weather may be chilly, but that's why scarves come in handy! Not to mention that they're also a fun fashion accessory. One winner will get to choose any scarf under $40 from Elizabeth Koh to heat up an outfit. Elizabeth Koh is not one person, but two - both Janelle and Megan's middle names are Elizabeth, and Koh means island in Thailand, where they handcraft all their cotton and silk scarves. Every collection is named after a beach or island in Thailand and feature a range of weights for wearing in several seasons. Elizabeth Koh is committed to improving the communities where their products are made, so 10% of proceeds are donated to SOS Children's Villages in Thailand. Not only will you help feed others by buying a scarf this holiday season, you'll al...
