WW: Great Smoky Mountains State Park Views

Smoky Mountains Deer Photo

Delaware's weather forecast is threatening rain and thunderstorms for Christmas Eve, but at least I got to see snow-covered mountains when visiting Tennessee in early December. We even raced a reindeer (which was probably a whitetail stag, but I'm going to pretend it was Dasher on vacation before Christmas) when driving around the Cades Cove Loop in Great Smoky Mountains State Park. Dasher won, as he was faster than the 20mph speed limit for cars. His antlers were magnificent - I'm sincerely sorry I couldn't catch a better shot than the second photo to share. Farther down the trail, we stopped to watch two female deer playing in a field. It was a magical ride through the Smokies.

May the rest of your holiday season be filled with love, laughter and snow sparkles (even if it's white glitter instead of ice crystals), my dears!

Makeup Giveaway: All Natural Mineral Cosmetics by Madison Street Beauty

EDIT: Giveaway is officially closed. Congratulations to Rita Szlovencsák for submitting the randomly chosen 57th entry. Perhaps it's the hot weather and the drought in Delaware, but I have been daydreaming about being a mermaid. That's why I gleamed to discover the Etsy Blog's Mermaid Makeup Tutorial when looking through the list of articles where my new giveaway sponsor's products have shimmered. Madison Street Beauty has dozens of magnificent eye shadow colors that could enhance the sexy siren in any creature. One lucky winner will even get to choose five full size eye shadows, as well as a foundation, a setting powder and a blush or bronzer sample for free. Amethyst, an opaque vegan eyeshadow of medium purple, would be my first pick, fins down. Look at those sparkles! If choosing only five colors is too difficult, why not try some natural samples first? The owners, Bridget and Rhys, are currently celebrating their one year Etsyversary and offering an astonish...

Handmade Giveaway: Scarf from Elizabeth Koh

EDIT: Giveaway is officially over. Congratulations to Susana Silva for submitting the randomly-chosen 392nd entry. Normal people go to the beach in the summer, but I prefer autumn when it's more peaceful. The weather may be chilly, but that's why scarves come in handy! Not to mention that they're also a fun fashion accessory. One winner will get to choose any scarf under $40 from Elizabeth Koh to heat up an outfit. Elizabeth Koh is not one person, but two - both Janelle and Megan's middle names are Elizabeth, and Koh means island in Thailand, where they handcraft all their cotton and silk scarves. Every collection is named after a beach or island in Thailand and feature a range of weights for wearing in several seasons. Elizabeth Koh is committed to improving the communities where their products are made, so 10% of proceeds are donated to SOS Children's Villages in Thailand. Not only will you help feed others by buying a scarf this holiday season, you'll al...
