Handmade Trove: Evenstar Necklace by Shealynn's Faerie Shoppe

Summer is ending and before you know it, the leaves will burst into fiery colors. Even after they fall and crinkle away, my new leaf necklace will remain gloriously green as a welcome reminder of warmer seasons. A balmy breeze carried the Evenstar pendant all the way from Shealynn's Faerie Shoppe . Shaylynn's design is her twist on Arwen's necklace in The Lord of the Rings movies . She uses wire to carefully form five Czech glass beads around a Swarovski pearl and finishes it with a leaf bead dangle. Custom jewelry is even available, where the customer can choose colors and extra Swarovski crystal dangles. Elo! (According to an Elvish dictionary, that means wow :) Disclaimer: I received this free necklace as a thank you gift for hosting a jewelry giveaway. If you think your creations would harmonize with my whimsical ramblings, learn how to sponsor a giveaway here .

Jewelry Giveaway: $25 Gift Card to Shealynn's Faerie Shoppe

EDIT: Giveaway is officially over. Congratulations to Aleka Nikolaidou for submitting the randomly-chosen 811th entry. Pack a second breakfast and join the hobbits in a glimmering journey of epic proportions. Only one shall be chosen to win a $25 gift card to Shealynn's Faerie Shoppe . But remember, short cuts make long delays, so don't even think about trying to cheat the contest. When she couldn't find any affordable Elvish jewelry for an Arwen from The Lord of the Rings costume at age 13, her mom bought her some supplies to make her own. She has been designing jewelry inspired by fairytales ever since. If you can't resist the power of Shaylynn's designs, don't fear. You don't have to win her giveaway to possess a piece of handmade j...

Jewelry Giveaway: The Return of the King Pendant by Lefty's ArtWear

EDIT: Giveaway is officially over. Congratulations to Leslie Luke Stanziani for submitting the randomly chosen 742nd entry. Anyone else planning a Lord of the Rings trilogy marathon in anticipation of The Hobbit 2012 movie release? Marcia of Lefty's ArtWear is celebrating by giving away the above metal pendant, inspired by The Return of the King, to one lucky JRR Tolkien fan. Two connected textured rings dangle from chainmaille rings to create the center focal point. A hammered black scale maille charm was added to the bottom because of its shield shape, then embellished with a small washer. Marcia uses a large variety of tools, along with metal, hardware, wire, vintage treasures, leather and as much recycled material as she can find to handcraft her unique jewelry. Half the fun of browsing her handmade shop is figuring out what type of material she used to create such a bold look. Marcia may be left-handed, but she's bound to have a jewelry piece that's just "R...
