Happy National Dance Day!

Get up and shake your rump! That's right, today is the first National Dance Day, thanks to Nigel Lythgoe, the executive producer of So You Think You Can Dance. The NappyTabs duo choreographed the routine below to let anyone celebrate the event, whether it be in a huge group or alone in a living room.

I dance every day, even if it's just to practice my shimmy while brushing my teeth. I'm no professional - just a girl that likes to shake it like a salt shaker. I am thankful to have discovered two amazing women that offer classes in Delaware's Cape region, hip-hop with Sasha Westray and belly dancing with Viviana Matthews. Both styles are extremely fun ways to exercise and clear your head.

If you haven't been enthralled by So You Think You Can Dance yet, you must get "outta your mind" and see my favorite hip-hop routine ever, choreographed by Tabitha and Napoleon and rocked out by Alex and tWitch. Then follow my lead, because I'm getting out of this chair and dancing the day away.

And for those dance divas and divos that already knew, how did you celebrate?

Makeup Giveaway: All Natural Mineral Cosmetics by Madison Street Beauty

EDIT: Giveaway is officially closed. Congratulations to Rita Szlovencsák for submitting the randomly chosen 57th entry. Perhaps it's the hot weather and the drought in Delaware, but I have been daydreaming about being a mermaid. That's why I gleamed to discover the Etsy Blog's Mermaid Makeup Tutorial when looking through the list of articles where my new giveaway sponsor's products have shimmered. Madison Street Beauty has dozens of magnificent eye shadow colors that could enhance the sexy siren in any creature. One lucky winner will even get to choose five full size eye shadows, as well as a foundation, a setting powder and a blush or bronzer sample for free. Amethyst, an opaque vegan eyeshadow of medium purple, would be my first pick, fins down. Look at those sparkles! If choosing only five colors is too difficult, why not try some natural samples first? The owners, Bridget and Rhys, are currently celebrating their one year Etsyversary and offering an astonish...

Handmade Giveaway: Scarf from Elizabeth Koh

EDIT: Giveaway is officially over. Congratulations to Susana Silva for submitting the randomly-chosen 392nd entry. Normal people go to the beach in the summer, but I prefer autumn when it's more peaceful. The weather may be chilly, but that's why scarves come in handy! Not to mention that they're also a fun fashion accessory. One winner will get to choose any scarf under $40 from Elizabeth Koh to heat up an outfit. Elizabeth Koh is not one person, but two - both Janelle and Megan's middle names are Elizabeth, and Koh means island in Thailand, where they handcraft all their cotton and silk scarves. Every collection is named after a beach or island in Thailand and feature a range of weights for wearing in several seasons. Elizabeth Koh is committed to improving the communities where their products are made, so 10% of proceeds are donated to SOS Children's Villages in Thailand. Not only will you help feed others by buying a scarf this holiday season, you'll al...

EDIT: Giveaway is officially over! Congratulations to the randomly chosen 165th commenter, Darcie K.! Christmas will come twice this year for a lucky lady out there. Jessica of Cut Your Heart Out is gifting away her gorgeous Abigail necklace. The elegant design features a 1" metal leaf pendant on a 24.5" medium silver cable chain accented with red acrylic spacers. Nature lovers will love the simplicity of the sole leaf and fashionistas will appreciate the boldness of the red pops of color. Jessica creates wickedly sweet accessories to adorn neck and ears. She abides by a simple philosophy - delight the customer with handmade pieces. She doesn't list anything in her online store that she wouldn't be proud to wear herself. Nor does she believe in putting high price tags on her work. All of her beautiful necklaces and earrings are almost too affordable, starting at only $5! How To Enter The Giveaway Giveaway is open worldwide. I will be pulling a number from my random.o...
