Friday Finds, Flashback Style: Pillows for the 80's Children Out There

I've been up since 3:30am, getting my shop on at Kohl's and JCPenney's. Mom and I brave the madness every year, but stay away from places where the crazies wrestle over Zhu Zhu pets or one HDTV. I get to pick out most of my own gifts, so that's always fun. Check out these awesome brown 'Megan' boots we scored for only $30. And hey, if you don't have to try clothes and shoes on before purchasing like I do, the doorbuster sale is available all day on JCPenney.com! Although if you're going to take advantage of any online sale this weekend, might I suggest mine? 20% off a $3.50 bookmark would make quite a unique and inexpensive stocking stuffer for the fantasy art fan in your life!

Eep, but I'm tired and getting sidetracked. I'm about to crawl into my Super Girl pjs and swoop back into bed for a much needed nap. There are thousands of handmade pillows on Etsy that I'd like to rest my head upon. However, I grew up making my friends mixed tapes and asking Santa for 8-bit Nintendo games, so I'm going to blanket you with my nostalgia! What was your favorite part of the 80's?

  6. I love these! It's sad but my kids wouldn't even now what the floppy disk one would be.

  7. I was busy having babies in the eighties, so I was probably more into nursery rhymes than nintendo...

  8. Thankfully I don't have children to purchase for as mine are all grown and are now more than happy to receive a gift card to one of their favorite stores. I'm not sure that I would want to rush around with the maddening crowd anyway as I like to take my time shopping and savor the experience.
One of the things I guess I miss most from the 80's is that my girls were all young and still at home so that made Christmas all the more special.
