"You can't be suspicious of a tree, or accuse a bird or a squirrel of subversion or challenge the ideology of a violet."
- Hal Borland
I asked this silly squirrel to slow down to pose for me, but he just mooned me on his way up a beautiful tree at Longwood Gardens!

Squirrels, gotta love them. I always thought they were so cute.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny lol
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Kristin! It is interesting seeing a squirrel. We don't have them in Jamaica. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteI love the perspective!
ReplyDeleteWhat a squirrel-y squirrel!
ReplyDeleteThat tree looks like it has a face
ReplyDeleteHeheehee. this tree reminds me of my spooky squirrel tree I have posted about several times. only it had lots of knot holes & is no longer leafing out, except for the vines I have growing on it.
ReplyDeleteTypical dumb squirrel maneuver. I've been asking the ones in our attic to pay rent and get the same response. It's time for the eviction notice.

stunning shot! they usually run away too fast before I can whip out my camera haha
ReplyDeleteAi @ Sakura Haruka
Very cool tree! Nothing suspicious there, except that squirrels and jaybirds have a well known rivalry over nuts and acorns, where dealings in subversiveness would come as no surprise :)
ReplyDeleteYou need to come to our house where the squirrels will pose for you and let you take as many photos as you like. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny! Not everyone can say they've been mooned by a squirrel climbing a beautiful tree ^.^
ReplyDeleteYou always have such great shots!!

Love the texture of this tree. Trees hold a certain fascination with me. I love interesting ones with their many twists and turns as they grow. Great photo!

ReplyDeleteHappy WW!!
Squirrels on trees are scaring me lately!!! I have these squirrels that climb up my mulberry tree which is really tall. Then they suddenly jump out!!! Such adventure seekers?!
ReplyDeleteCheeky little squirrel, huh? On a different note, I saw my first black squirrel last year. I didn't know there were black colored squirrels, but the town 2 over from us is crawling with them!
ReplyDeleteawesome photo!
