Work in Progress: Sycamore Fairy

Merry Autumnal Equinox! Many fae shall be fluttering about the wilderness tonight, toasting to the arrival of fall with spiced rum apple cider and biscotti. I hope to hunt down a bottle of pumpkin liqueur to recreate an amazingly delicious pumpkin pie shot I tasted at a bar a couple weekends ago.

I've drawn a new fairy to celebrate the change in season. She's already been inked with black Sakura Pigma Micron Pens. I cannot wait to dust off my Prismacolor pencils and bestow upon her the vibrant autumn colors she deserves.

  3. Love your newest drawing. Can't wait to see it colored. I too love to draw with Micron Pens and I totally miss all my Prismacolors. I had the pens in college, but they went missing. Boo.

The Pumpkin pie shots sounds delicious!

Have you dragged your holiday decorations out of the attic and dusted off the Christmas wreath yet? One reader will win the above sterling silver band by Kate Szabone Jewellery and get to hang a wreath ring around her finger during any season. The design is reminiscent of a budding rose branch. Walking through the wonderland of Kate's online shop is a beautiful sight. Her jewelry is inspired by the simplicity and complexity of nature, the Art Nouveau movement and her mother - a photographer, spinner and fibre artist. Kate uses a range of recycled metals, natural gemstones and conflict-free diamonds whose sparkles are even breathtaking...

Handmade Giveaway: Spring Leaf Anklet by Erthe Fae Designs

EDIT: Giveaway is officially over! Congratulations to the randomly chosen 95th commenter, Brooke! The season of buds and blossoms isn't over yet! The spring leaf anklet above will bloom into a lovely addition to one reader's accessory garden. It is one of a kind, planted in the Erthe Fae Designs studio by AJ Reardon. The Czech glass beads and satiny leaf-shaped beads are strung on sturdy, flexible beading cable which holds up well to daily wear. Anklet is adjustable from 10" to 12" and fastens securely with a sterling silver lobster clasp and extender chain. The delicate hues of green and opalescent white will catch the light, whether you're wearing it with a shimmering belly dance costume or a casual pair of capri pants. AJ draws inspiration from mythology, literature, folk lore and the natural world to create a variety of steampunk and fantasy jewelry, including necklaces, bracelets, and chandelier earrings. The influence of tribal belly dance also gleams brigh...
