Manicure Monday: White Polka Dot Nail Wraps by Jamberry Nails

White Polka Dots Nail Art

After five years, my mom and I are returning as vendors to Mary Mother of Peace's annual Strawberry Festival this Saturday, May 24. I'd gotten discouraged trying to sell my art at craft fairs and turned my attention to blogging globally instead. But now that mom's making fabulous fantasy jewelry, we decided to give the local market another chance and share a table. If we end up not making a profit, at least we can drown our sorrows in some scrumptious strawberry shortcake.

To match the event, I applied Poppy & White Polka nail wraps by Jamberry Nails because the white polka dots on red reminds me of strawberries. The striped accent nail on my pinky is a sample of Flirty Flair from the Garden Party collection. You may recognize the strawberry plate I'm clutching as a prop - the delightful dish is part of my handmade trove, courtesy of Ceraminic.

Don't miss out on a sweet chance to win a sheet of floral nail wraps. Kiss My Tips' Jamberry Nails giveaway ends berry soon, on May 20, 2014 at 11:59pm EST.

Makeup Giveaway: All Natural Mineral Cosmetics by Madison Street Beauty

EDIT: Giveaway is officially closed. Congratulations to Rita Szlovencsák for submitting the randomly chosen 57th entry. Perhaps it's the hot weather and the drought in Delaware, but I have been daydreaming about being a mermaid. That's why I gleamed to discover the Etsy Blog's Mermaid Makeup Tutorial when looking through the list of articles where my new giveaway sponsor's products have shimmered. Madison Street Beauty has dozens of magnificent eye shadow colors that could enhance the sexy siren in any creature. One lucky winner will even get to choose five full size eye shadows, as well as a foundation, a setting powder and a blush or bronzer sample for free. Amethyst, an opaque vegan eyeshadow of medium purple, would be my first pick, fins down. Look at those sparkles! If choosing only five colors is too difficult, why not try some natural samples first? The owners, Bridget and Rhys, are currently celebrating their one year Etsyversary and offering an astonish...

Giveaway: Blue Mushroom Sculpture by Woodland Whimsy

EDIT: Giveaway is officially closed. Congratulations to the randomly chosen 16th commenter, Wendy Hatton! Winter has barely begun, and I'm already dreaming of warm weather and greener grass. If you're feeling the same, don't despair - you could be the one to win this rare blue mushroom that won't decay or freeze, no matter the season. Meet Crystal, an adorable ooak needle felted mushroom by Shana of Woodland Whimsy . The white portions of Crystal's exterior are sheep's wool and the blue portions are hand dyed alpaca fiber. Her skeleton is needle felted fiber fill. I have no skills in creating three dimensional art, so the sculptures and art dolls by my fellow Fantasy Artists of Etsy amaze me. Although Shana has been crafting practically her whole life, needle felting is a new technique to her. Last year her mom bought alpacas and their fleece encouraged her to learn how to felt. Needle felting is a process that uses a special barbed needle to mesh the fibers to...
